Step 1: Insert the Prologue Page into the Book

1. Locate the Table of Contents
   1. Open the book to the Table of Contents page.
   2. Identify where the prologue should be inserted (typically right after the Table of Contents).
2. Prepare the Book
   1. Use a letter opener or a sharp knife to carefully open the book's spine if it's tightly bound. If the book is spiral-bound or has a flexible binding, this step might not be necessary.
3. Insert the Prologue Page
   1. Carefully place the prologue page into the book at the identified spot.
   2. Ensure the page is aligned with the rest of the book’s pages.

Step 2: Secure the Prologue Page

1. Glue Method
   1. Apply a thin layer of archival book glue to the edge of the prologue page.
   2. Carefully press the page into place and allow the glue to dry completely.
2. Tape Method
   1. Use double-sided archival tape along the edge of the prologue page.
   2. Align the page and press it firmly into place.
3. Binding Method
   1. If the book is spiral-bound, carefully open the spirals enough to insert the prologue page.
   2. Re-thread the spiral through the new page and close the spirals.

Step 3: Final Check

1. Review the Insertion
   1. Open and close the book several times to ensure the prologue page is securely in place and turns smoothly with the rest of the pages.
2. Check for Alignment
   1. Ensure that the prologue page aligns perfectly with the other pages, both at the top and bottom and along the side margins.
