National Uprising

Today MindCoeur.org commemorates the Slovak National Uprising and all those who, across political, religious and social differences, chose conscience and resistance to oppression.

The Uprising belongs to no single party or ideology. Its memory reaches beyond later communist mythology: freedom of conscience cannot be granted or withdrawn by those who claim authority over it.

In this spirit, we peacefully but firmly reject the constructed process of excommunication from Falun Dafa associated with “Matarko.” We respond without hatred or retaliation, through the antidotes of Dharma:

Compassion for anger.
Wisdom for confusion.
Patience for injury.
Truth for distortion.

Unjust Dharma is no Dharma at all.

May obstacles become the path.
May division give rise to bodhicitta.
May all beings find freedom from fear, hatred and delusion.
