Armor of God: Putting on the Right Armor for Spiritual Warfare
As believers, we are called to be active participants in spiritual warfare. This war is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers that seek to destroy our relationship with God. To equip ourselves for this battle, we must put on the armor of God.
The Belt of Truth
The first piece of armor mentioned in Ephesians 6:14 is the belt of truth. This represents our understanding of God’s Word and our commitment to living according to His principles. As Paul writes, “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth” (Ephesians 6:14, KJV). Without a solid foundation in Scripture, we are vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks.
